I can think of two possible causes.

1. Your C3000 does not support the Postscript printer langauge. This will stop it from printing when using a PS driver as you have mentioned. Often you can check what printer language a machine supports by connecting to its internal web page, which is done by entering the printers IP address into a web browser. Via one of the pages there will be a list of what printer languages it supports. Ricoh has its own proprietary language which is just for Windows. There is also PCL5 and PCL6 (aka PCL XL) and Postscript.

2. The Ricoh has some form of job accounting enabled, which requires you to enter a PIN code to copy/print. If this is so, and the printer has the Postscript kit installed, then the PS driver you installed should have a menu where you can enter your PIN code.
